Let me just tell you, the wine is drinking beautifully right now. It’s very well structured (2020 vintage was fantastic) and will age nicely for another couple of years to boot – but its in its prime now and ready to rock-n-roll.
Frontlining at $19/bottle, the 2020 Les Maselles Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc was rated 91-points by the International Wine Report:This Sauvignon Blanc begins with inviting aromatics of grapefruit, gooseberries and dried herbs that are laced with an underlying mineral character. The palate is fresh, vibrant and bursting with racy acidity, while remaining beautifully balanced throughout the finish.
Couldn’t have said it better myself. I would only add that the wine has added some nice honeyed flint notes to the bouquet. I love the mouthwatering, chalky acidity as well. The wine shows tremendous freshness (bottled under screwcap) and is just hitting its stride in the bottle now. 13% alc.
